Cancellation and payment
These terms go with our terms and conditions. Your quote states the exact amounts and dates for your tour.
How payment works
- Quote. We send you a quote. It is free, and you don't owe anything for it.
- Deposit. We send you an invoice. Your booking is confirmed when we receive the deposit and send you a booking confirmation.
- Final payment. If you book less than 60 days before departure, the full price is due when you book.
- Reminders. We send a reminder before each due date.
If we do not receive a payment by its due date, we may cancel your booking. The cancellation terms below then apply.
How you can pay
- Bank transfer, to the account details shown on your invoice.
- Card payment, where we offer it, arranged with us directly.
- Please pay in the currency stated on your invoice. You pay any bank charges, so that we receive the full amount.
- Prices are in Namibian dollars (NAD) unless your invoice says otherwise. Other currencies shown on our site are approximate.
If you cancel
Tell us in writing (email is fine). The date we receive your message is the cancellation date. The charge depends on how many days before the tour start date you cancel.
- Some lodges, parks and activity providers have stricter terms.
- The cancellation charge is based on the total tour price, and not on what you have paid so far. If you have paid more than the charge, we refund the difference.
- Deposits are not refundable if you cancel 90 days or more before the tour.
If we cancel or change your tour
- If we cancel for a reason other than those described below, we refund everything you have paid for the cancelled tour, or offer you an alternative tour of similar standard.
- If events outside our control (for example severe weather, flooding, natural disasters, civil unrest, border or road closures, outbreaks of illness) force us to cancel or change the tour, we offer an alternative where possible. If we cannot, we refund what you paid for services we could not provide, less costs we cannot recover from suppliers. See section 13 of our terms.
Children and rates
Children aged 12 and under sharing a room with two adults may pay a reduced rate. The rate for your tour is in your quote and depends on the lodges.
Single supplements
If you travel alone or want a single room, a single supplement applies. It is set in your quote.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory. Take it out when you book, so you are covered if you have to cancel for a reason the insurer accepts, such as illness. We are not an insurer, and we cannot cover your costs if you cancel.
